Prof. Yu-Jung Lu (呂宥蓉)

Dr. Yu-Jung Lu is currently an Assistant Research Fellow in the Research Center for Applied Sciences at Academia Sinica and an Assistant Professor in Department of Physics at National Taiwan university. Dr. Yu-Jung Lu received her Ph.D. in Physics from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan in 2013. Before she joined Academia Sinica in 2017, she joined Prof. Harry Atwater’s research group in California Institute of Technology (Caltech) from 2015 to 2017. She is a materials physicist with expertise in the fields of active tunable TCOs and transition metal nitrides, III-nitride based semiconductors, development of plasmonic nanolasers and fabrication of nanoLEDs.

     Dr. Yu-Jung Lu is interested in applications related to lighting, energy, information processing, computing, and bio-sensing. Besides, she received several awards from Taiwan, such as Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science—Chui-Chu Mon Fellowship, Chien-Shiung Wu Fellowship, The President’s Scholarship of NTHU, The Honorary Member of the Phi-Tau-Phi Scholastic Honor Society,Postdoctoral Research Abroad Fellowship and the 56th Taiwan Ten Outstanding Young Persons. Her research works have been published in various journals, including Nature Communications, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, ACS Photonics, Applied Physics Letters and Science.
